Why Little Yardstead exists

Grow a little more, right where you are.

Your balcony and three containers belong here just as much as a backyard garden. Start small, grow the vegetables you love, and make your home a little more self-reliant with each harvest.

What we're growing toward

Grow food. Get outside. Feel more at home.

Growing a little of your own food is a practical way to make your home a bit more self-reliant, not a promise to grow everything you need. A few tomatoes, herbs by the door, or greens in a container are worthwhile beginnings.

Little Yardstead helps you make every square foot count, know what to plant and when, and keep fresh food coming. Your garden can start with one pot.

Why I made this

I started with a crowded garden bed and a lot of enthusiasm.

My first garden bed had watermelons, bell peppers, and jalapenos all packed into 8' x 4'. That was a weird harvest, and it was only the start of what I learned about spacing, timing, support, and upkeep.
